Trémont

Several small rivers or creeks flow trough Trémont : the Livier, the Lande and the Lucet.
Around 1790 to 1791, the canton of Trémont was created. It was made up of the communities of
Cernusson, Concourson, La Fosse-de-Tigné, Montilliers, Tancoigné and Trémont.
The name
Trémont appeared in the 19th century.

* Saint Fiacre Church

 Trémont - L'église Saint Fiacre

The first church of the village, dedicated to Notre Dame, dated 11th century.
At the end of 19th century, it was demolished.
The current church, dedicated to Saint Fiacre, was built in 1892.
After the great storm of February 1900, the church was restored and the bell tower was built in 1928.
