The church of La
Fosse-de-Tigné, of Romanesque style, was built in the 11th century on
a granite
rock.
The church then
belonged to the Lord of Montreuil -Bellay who, in turn,
gave it to the Abbey Saint Florent in 1064.
Restoration was undertaken in 1848 and the bell-tower was rebuilt
in 1895. |
